Connect via MCP
Last revised · 23 September 2026
Connect Circlists to your AI assistant over MCP (Model Context Protocol), and it can look through your circles and add to them when you ask. It acts as you, so it only reaches the circles you're in.
Before you start
You need a Circlists account and an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Not all assistants support connecting via MCP.
Connect your assistant
-
Copy this address:
https://api.circlists.com/api/mcp - In your assistant's settings, add a connector and paste the address.
- Sign in to Circlists and approve.
- Turn Circlists on in a new chat.
Each assistant's own guide shows where the setting is:
You sign in with your Circlists account. Your password never reaches the assistant.
What your assistant can do
Once connected, you can ask it to:
- List your circles
- Tell you what has arrived
- Show what's still unread
- Open an item in full
- Share an article, video or podcast to a circle, with a thought of your own
It can't reach a circle nobody is paying for right now.
Disconnecting
Remove Circlists in your assistant's settings, where you added it.
